Great read Kevin. What a storyline it would be if the islanders win the Stanley cup in there inaugural season in UBS Arena. My fandom started in 81. I was a teenager when they won consecutive cups. After all the terrible years after 93 with the Spano debacle and milbury and snow. Everyone trashes the Barclays center that building saved them from going to Kansas city or another location. Lou has done an amazing job and this year is the closest the Islanders have come to to ending their 37 year drought. Islanders are a destination now players want to come here and have a chance at winning the cup. Like I said earlier what a storyline it would be.
